the error tells you are using the following two classes that dont seem to be part of the imorted packages

android.content.IntentReceiver;
com.google.android.maps.Point;

please help!

Hey, great tutorial. In fact, great blog in general. I've been going through all your android posts. Very helpful stuff in there.

Since it looks like you update this tutorial from time to time, i just wanted to mention that the links you have for the API's (like MapView, etc..) are incorrect. Google has moved them to this location:

In order to get this working now, you need to provide your own MockLocationService implementation.

Including that here would make this tutorial too long and complex, imo. I'll take a look at updating the tutorial once we have some real hardware with a live gps service (and thusly no need for mock implementations).

What if I want to update my location based on another provider i have instead of the "gps" one? For example i don't want it to update 20 meters away every time but rather take me to a new location like Miami or something for which i have already set up a provider.
